Billy Packer has been one of the most respected sports broadcasters in America for more than three decades. For 25 years, he has been the lead analyst for CBS Sports coverage if college basketball. Al McGuire joined the pair in 1978, and they became one of the most popular broadcasting trios ever. Packer was an All-ACC guard at Wake Forest, and led the Demon Deacons to three ACC regular-season titles and the NCAA Final Four in 1962. He was inducted into the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame, the Wake Forest University Hall of Fame, the National Basketball Hall of Fame (as the Gowdy Award Winner), and the National Polish Hall of Fame.
