Gino Cappelletti is a member of the Patriots Hall of Fame. One of the original Patriots, he spent his entire 11-season career with the franchise. Gino was a five-time AFL All-star and led the league in scoring five times. He holds two of the top five scoring seasons in NFL history, with 155 points in 1964 and 147 points in 1961. He finished his career with 1,130 points (42 TD’s, 176 FG’s, and 342 PAT’s), which was the franchise record until Adam Vinatieri broke it in 2005. A standout kicker and wide receiver, he is sixth on the Patriots all-time receiving list with 292 catches for 4,589 yards. Only Vinatieri kicked more field goals as a Patriot than Gino’s 176 FG’s. Cappelletti”s jersey (#20) has been permanently retired by the Patriots. Gino was a member of the All-AFL 10-year Anniversary Team in 1971.
